The K-12 Confidential Podcast Needs Your Help.
We are a bi-partisan, pro-democracy grassroots movement which is exposing deeply hidden, highly esoteric, problems in our world, which have resulted in rampant sexual abuse at school, jawdropping literacy rates which parallel those in war-torn third world nations, and a poorly understood lack of teachers, particulalry in rural, urban, and special education settings. These problems have created a civil rights catasrophe for our nation’s children, but are a hidden cause of the erosion of our very ability to effectively self-govern—and no one was covering it in the press. Why? Our world is cloaked and bizarre, and really unlike any other institution in America today. In short, if you’re not in it with us, you will find it impossible to see it all.
What makes our podcast is different from others is that we are CURRENT, VETERAN teachers. We chose to keep our tenure as teachers (which is lost once you move into “leadership”), grow our knowledge of the structural problems in our profession which could allow this state of affairs, and create this platform for all of us to tell the truth to the American people. Because, once you go into the actual positions of leadership, you lose the protections of tenure. We also see that current highly veteran teachers voices are missing from the educational podcast realm, and the resulting lack of relevant, nuanced knowledge shows.
So we are committed to staying put! But what that means is that we have very little time to promote the podcast. What time we do have is dedicated to producing the episodes, so we need help with promotion.

Why This Matters
The lack of teacher leadership of our own profession has created the literacy crisis in America today.
The fact that we are in the bottom half of the world ranking for literary rates, is but one horrific result of the greed, ignornace, and corruption in our leadership which has been kept hidden from the American public.
Ours is the ONLY credentialed professional body in America today without a national board staffed by our own professionals.
The absence of tenured teacher voice in leadership means that there is no one free of a conflict of interest making the big decisions. Additionally, we are the ONLY ones who hold the expert knowledge required to do right by our kids.
It’s a hidden, underlying cause of the unraveling of our democracy.

Creates a national system of K-12 educational governance which empowers individual teachers with the ability to make the right decisions for the kids in their classrooms
Supports teacher leadership of our own profession
Stops the waste, ignorance, greed, and apathy of local politicans, “big textbook,” and other corporations
